Map of the East Bay
From the North Bay to the Oakland border, we have such a variety of experiences, micro-climates, destinations. Richmond is the home of the shipyards of the 40’s where workers built ships of war. El Cerrito used to be a city of excess, and Berkeley had been slated to be the state capital, but it was a dry city, so the location was moved to Sacramento. Emeryville used to be the home of the mudflats where local artists built driftwood sculptures, and is now home to Pixar and the hub for big box stores. Oakland is a multicultural extravaganza, and has some of the most interesting architecture in the area. Piedmont is an island of wealth in the sea of Oakland, full of beautiful 20’s and 30’s grand homes. The whole region is bordered on the east by parks: Redwood Park, Tilden Park, Alvarado Park.
